Celebration of the Am-among 08

Last week, we celebrated the 100th year anniversary of Am-among here in Bontoc. The highlights of this celebration were the search for Mr. and Ms. Am-among 2008, folk dances, cultural presentations and ground demonstration. We joined the folk dancing contest and ground demonstration. Some of our classmates joined the poster making but unfortunately they just won consolation prizes. The presentations were quite tiring, but they were successful.

Reflections..

Last week, we learned how to use the TQRL or the Tune in, Question, Listen and Respond method. First, we must tune in or listen to the topic being talked about so that we will not be lost during the discussion of the topic. And while we are focusing on the topic, we can write and ask some questions which will generate the ideas and details of the topic. We also must listen so that we can keep in mind the useful informations we can get from the topic. And at the end, we have to respond by recalling the things we have listened to and participate in the class during discussion.

My goal in life

We all have a goal in our lives. Some wants to be a teacher, engineer, doctor or even a soldier. It doesn't matter if we are rich or poor as long as we are determined to achieve that goal, we can!

When i was a child, i really wanted to be a nurse, but when i saw the blood and other organs of the body which were being touched by a nurse, i felt gross. So now, i want to be a soldier or a police to help other people and to catch the bad guys who violates the law. In order for me to achieve that goal, i must study hard and avoid the influences of bad vices.

When i achieve my goal, my life will be more happy and i will not have to ask my parents for money because i can already have a salary.

When i first went to the school, i observed that there are a few students this year compared to the last school year. I felt excited because i knew that i will be meeting new friends. And i also felt very happy bacause i passed all my subjects in second year.

Now, i expect that i will have lots of fun in our subject "English". Specially that from now on we will be able to use the internet to post our blogs. I also expect that this subject will be my favorite among all of our subjects because ma'am Batan teaches well.
